My wife and I recently stayed at the Kearney Western Inn South at 510 3rd Ave. We had made reservations two days prior to our check in date. We checked in Sunday August 26 and checked out Monday August 27. We have a small complaint about a charge the management made to our credit card when we arrived. When my wife checked in, the desk clerk asked if we had any pets. My said yes but that our dog would be staying in our car and would not be in the room. The desk clerk said that we would be charged a $15 fee. When my wife objected, the desk clerk said that she would drop the charge to $10. I went in to talk to the desk clerk and she said that she had to charge us the fee as it was the motel’s policy. The pet policy statement on the counter said nothing about charging a fee for keeping a dog in our car. The motel's web site also has a pet policy statement but again it says nothing about a charging a customer a $10- $15 fee for having a pet in their car. I asked to speak to the manager, but was told that he was not available nor could he be reached by phone. I asked to see him as soon as he was available but no one ever contacted myself or my wife.
No far from cycle/race track.
Very noisy air-conditioner.
The manager was upset because he was woke up at 1:00 am even though I had called him to let him know I was coming in after 12 pm The rooms are worn and outdated, desperately need an update. Spider webs blowing off the lamps, trash overflowing from the outside trash can- tissue, empty oil cans, pop cans. Mattress felt like I was sleeping on two box springs; pillows flat and stank. Gaps in the curtains. The breakfast buffet consisted of cereal, waffle, milk and un-ripe fruit (choice of 2 bananas or 2 plums). The manager hovered over all 5 customers. The four star rating on the web site is not accurate.
Relatively quiet place to get a decent night's sleep.
Older furnishings, fixtures & carpeting give an unclean impression. No toiletries provided except a very small bar of soap.
I was very disappointed in the Western Inn. It was rated as a three star hotel and was nothing close to a three star. The room and the furnishings were old, run down and there was a terrible odor in the room. The free breakfast consisted of coffee and watered down juice. Needless to say we will never return to this hotel.
Perfect! Cheap yet clean with park at door AND interior hall to pool &I breakfast. Dated decor but clean and comfortable.
Rain gutter over door leaked. Front clerk creepy.
Nothing not clean, dogs barked all night, no tp in bathroom, bathroom dirty and in bad shape,
It's close to Apple Fun Center.
Locks on doors weren't very secure from the outside.
Booked.net has the motel for 3 stars. I can only give it 1 or 2. It seems the bedding is kind of clean, but after I sleep a little while, I had skin rashes. I don't know if is was bed bug, but I will certainly not recommend the place for others.
It was fairly inexpensive, and you got what you paid for. We stayed on a Monday night and it was quiet and clean.
The bathroom needed updating. The breakfast was pretty inadequate. Some cereal and a bowl of apples.
When I arrived, the rooms that I reserved were not available and another room was substituted. There are signs posted all over the facility that say the pool is open until 11 pm. We went to the pool at 9 pm, the lights were off. When I asked the front desk clerk to turn them on, he reluctantly did so. Then he told me that I had half an hour and he was closing it down. The rooms smelled bad, the carpets were filthy, and I do not reccommend staying there. We rented the hotel room because we were attending a funeral nearby and we were truly disappointed.
We felt the room was very well taken care of the Staff was very helpful
Nothing- we enjoyed our stay
I thought the water in the pool was too cold. You could barely feel warm water coming out of a grate on the side of the pool. My great grandson, who is 4 years old, got awfully cold but wouldn't come out to warm up. He woke up with a cold, and I believe it was from the icy cold water in the pool. I would recommend they have it warmer and shut down the heat on the hot tub, it was set very high. Should be somewhere in the 90's not way over 100 degrees. It was too hot, you couldn't stay in it very long.
